Does Everything Need to Be “Smart”? When Smart Tech Crosses the Line
Date: 10 May 2025
Smartphones, smartwatches, smart washing machines… It seems like everything is becoming “smart.” Our homes, cars, and even clothes can now connect to the internet and run themselves. But do we really need all this smartness?
Sometimes, smart tech goes too far—like a coffee machine that only works via an app or a mirror that lights up with facial recognition. These tools often look cool but add complexity instead of solving problems.
The point is: technology should solve problems, not create them. Not every “smart” product is useful. Sometimes, the best tech is the one that’s simple, reliable, and easy to use.
Let tech assist life, not overcomplicate it.
