Technology and Sleep – How Screens Are Affecting Your Brain

For many, checking their phone before bed feels completely normal. But this seemingly harmless habit can significantly disrupt your sleep. Screens from phones, tablets, and computers emit "blue light" – a type of light that tells your brain it's still daytime and delays the release of melatonin, the sleep hormone.

Studies show that screen exposure before bed reduces both the depth and duration of sleep. The result? Daytime fatigue, lack of focus, and emotional imbalance.

The solution is simple: avoid screens at least an hour before bedtime, use blue light filters, and try reading a physical book instead.

Good sleep is a pillar of a good life. Don’t let tech steal it from you.
